At Utz Quality Foods, we're on the hunt for a motivated, experienced, and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Weekend Night Shift ((Friday-Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM)) operations in our newly built warehouse! As part of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our warehouse runs efficiently and meets daily goals, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.


This role is perfect for a strong leader with experience in logistics who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You'll lead, train, and supervise our warehouse team to ensure operational success, all while helping shape our warehouse culture to be safe, productive, and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities



  • Leads and assists Loaders, Unloaders, Jockeys, Conveyor Operators, Finished Good Handlers, Administrative Assistant and Leads.

  • Leads the Inventory Control processes for the shift/building.

  • Retrieves, organizes and distributes outbound shipment mail bags daily for all delivering distribution centers.

  • Checks and assures trailer number assignments and door assignments to affect proper deliveries.

  • Manages and address issues that arise during the shift.

  • Investigates, documents and reports all shift incidents, injury, property damage or vehicle related.

  • Ensures finished orders are confirmed on the computer and assures accuracy of shipments through appropriate redline and fill procedures.

  • Communicates with the appropriate production facilities to assure that product shortages are kept to a minimum.

  • Monitors and signs-off on finished orders to assure 100% cube utilization of all outbound trailers completed on the shift.

  • Supervises the Unloads/Conveyor operations, to ensure appropriate inventory practices are performed.

  • Trains and instructs associates on operation, procedures and other warehouse responsibilities.

  • Initiates process improvement and provides advice and recommendations to the Logistics Manager.

  • Must be flexible to cover other shifts in an event of vacation or call out of Leads.

  • Insures the D365 system is managed and entries are made accurately by his or her team

  • Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant leadership position.

  • Working knowledge of Logistics Processes.

  • Requires the ability to obtain and hold a forklift certification.

  • Ability to learn each of the positions in the warehouse setting.

  • Self-starter with superb initiative.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other data base programs is required.

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

  • Able to work well independently or as an active team member.

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks; work within time constraints; and shifting
    priorities is required.

  • Responsible to follow and enforce all safety rules and report unsafe equipment and practices to the Logistics.

  • Enforce and adhere to all Good Distribution and Manufacturing Practices.
