Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor I for the 4:30pm–3:30am shift (Sun–Thu) to oversee daily warehouse operations in Winston-Salem. You will direct staff, manage shipments, inventory, and safety, and partner with the sales department to provide timely service while controlling costs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in supervision, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office. Ability to travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years supervisory experience in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with SAP and MS Office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day warehouse activities and staff, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Complete shipping, receiving, and documentation for shipments.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and cycle counts.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the facility.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, training, and performance tracking.
  • Load orders accurately and timely for delivery.
  • Support sales with timely service while controlling costs.
  • Monitor operations across all shifts and days, including safety.
  • Oversee food safety compliance where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Supervisor I Role Overview

Supervises the daily execution of route and transport trucks for a warehouse facility.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day direction to warehouse employees.
  • Completes shipping and handling documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Performs inventory reconciliation.
  • Performs housekeeping duties.
  • Ensures the team is adequately staffed, managed and trained.
  • Loads orders in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Provides timely service to sales department while minimizing warehouse and production costs
  • Maintains performance tracking information.
  • Oversees all operations in the warehouse (less than 1,500,000 cases of annual sales that are loaded by the facility) including, but not limited to; Sales Loading, Transport Loading, all inventories and Facility Safety and Security across all shifts and all days (24/7).
  • Responsible for Food and Safety where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or related field is preferred.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to supervise and provide training to direct reports.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have attention to detail. Must have good math skills.
  • Must be able to perform data entry and analysis.
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle stressful situations.
  • Must be familiar with computers (e.g. data entry, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Must be familiar with material handling equipment (MHE, e.g. forklifts, walkie‑riders, pallet jacks).
  • Must have basic working knowledge of iPhone/iPad/tablet devices.
  • Must be able to perform manual work when required, e.g. building and wrapping pallets, loading trucks, etc.
  • Must work long hours during summer months as well as some weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to travel 10%.
