Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage and Logistics in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Warehouse Manager to plan, supervise and optimize daily operations in a fast-paced cold storage facility.

You will recruit, train and develop the warehouse team, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement through strong leadership and effective use of our Warehouse Management System.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years warehouse management experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Strong leadership, customer service, communications and planning skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Ability to withstand cold storage temps.

Position Overview and Purpose

This role plans, assigns, and directs activity within our cold storage facility in a safe and orderly fashion. This role will also be primarily responsible for the selection, training and retention of our warehouse team.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Direct supervision of a team of warehouse employees, including assigning work, setting and attaining performance goals, and managing performance in accordance with organizational policies and operating standards.

Work and lead others in a fast-paced, cold storage environment.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant advanced degree preferred.

4 years warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning.

Ability to solve problems and present information effectively to customers, clients, and employees.

Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.

Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time (warm gear provided by company).
