Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management within an industrial manufacturing environment, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated competencies in technical capability, leadership, ethical conduct, performance management, communication, teamwork, and financial management.
• Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work, and train, motivate, and monitor the team members who verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to set shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods needed to meet shipping and receiving schedules, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
• Oversee incoming and outgoing receiving and shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments as well as inventory accuracy
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and coordinate repairs
• Direct movement of shipments from the shipping and receiving area to storage work areas
• Assist team members with shipping and receiving activities as needed
• Adhere to established safety guidelines
• Directly supervise the Material Control Attendant
• The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
