Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and manages warehouse activities to ensure the accurate storage and distribution of raw materials and finished goods. Responsibilities include supervising the timely delivery of merchandise in accordance with orders, maintaining warehouse security, and ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety programs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate the planning and assignment of work to optimize personnel and equipment utilization.
2. Maintain inventory levels based on historical data and forecasted demand.
3. Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy and quality, and update tracking systems.
4. Inspect deliveries and reject undesirable items.
5. Supervise warehouse security and upkeep of inventory.
6. Assist in ordering supplies by advising management and contacting vendors as needed.
7. Implement and recommend improvements to warehouse practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Train warehouse staff and participate in hiring processes.
9. Manage the unpacking of shipments and proper disposal or storage of containers and packaging materials.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisory role.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing work demands.

Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. The role may require wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
