Warehouse Supervisor (DC) - 10p-7am (Mon-Fri)
The Warehouse Supervisor manages a warehouse department by directing the work of at least two associates. They oversee daily activities, implement standards for production, quality, and customer service, and ensure production goals are met within established timelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and prioritize tasks for warehouse associates; ensure accuracy and condition of shipments and materials.
- Maintain staffing levels, prepare work schedules, and assign duties to meet operational needs.
- Lead department meetings; monitor labor and expenses against budget.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
- Track and report on quality and productivity metrics.
- Manage storage, inventory activities, shipping, receiving, and documentation.
- Oversee the powered industrial truck fleet, including maintenance and requisitions.
- Ensure timely data entry of paperwork.
- Supervise team growth through feedback, training, and motivation.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors and recommend process improvements.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools.
- Follow safety rules, company policies, and ensure punctual attendance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Lead and motivate teams; build strong working relationships.

- Proficient in computer use and warehouse management systems.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or six months related experience; or equivalent combination.
- Must obtain forklift license through Highline Warren Distribution.
- Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
- Experience in logistics preferred; leadership experience desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Remain stationary or move about as needed in a large warehouse.
- Ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
- Reach overhead, operate tools and equipment including forklifts.
- Interact with associates and monitor equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Work in an office setting and a loud warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, temperature changes, dust, and fumes.
