Job Summary

General Purpose:

Accountable for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including supervising warehouse personnel, shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records.

Principle Accountabilities:

Work Hours: D Shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am)

  • Supervises warehouse personnel
  • Oversees the shipping, receiving and distribution of goods.
  • Ensures orders delivered are accurately and efficiently filled.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on all products received before stocking or distributing goods.
  • Maintains proper levels of stock in warehouse to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Maintains files on all equipment. Conducts routine and periodic inventory counts on warehouse.
  • Accountable for ordering necessary equipment.
  • Ensures sites are adequately and routinely stocked.
  • Ensures warehouse is maintained in an efficient, neat and safe manner.
  • Accountable for the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse.

Education / Knowledge / Skills

  • Experience typically requires a bachelor’s degree – OR - work equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 5 years of supervising warehouse personnel (e.g. delegating workloads, disciplinary action, influencing hiring and termination decisions).
  • Typically requires 3 years of materials experience or experience using Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, e.g. Baan, or similar.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, e.g. Excel (general, intermediate level).
  • Above work experience from contract manufacturing company and/or medical device manufacturer ideal/optional.

Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include Word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems.

Ability to: read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals, effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois): $50,800.00 USD - $69,800.00 USD Annual
