Job summary

ABB Distribution is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the 3rd shift in Mississippi. You will oversee receiving, order fulfillment, or shipping, set priorities, maintain floor presence, and drive safe, timely execution with accountability for quality and inventory accuracy.

You will use Blue Yonder WMS to track orders, coach Team Leaders, and conduct shift handoffs while leading continuous improvement efforts with the site HSE partner.

Qualifications

• 3+ years distribution or manufacturing supervision experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Plan and communicate workload, staffing assignments and priorities; adjust resources as conditions change.
• Supervise warehouse associates and ensure execution per schedule and procedures.
• Use the WMS to track orders, inventory and labor; maintain records and shift reports.
• Train/coach Team Leaders to understand and execute duties.
• Conduct performance appraisals for hourly staff.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities as needed.
• Lead daily shift handoff meetings for continuity of operations.
• Promote safe work practices and incident reporting with site HSE.
• Participate in facility-wide improvement projects.

The Distribution Warehouse Supervisor (3rd shift) is responsible for supervising an assigned functional area within the operation that is associated to receiving, order fulfillment, or shipping activities. This role sets clear work priorities, maintains a visible floor presence, removes barriers to safe and timely execution and holds the team accountable for quality, productivity, service, and inventory accuracy.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, USA, MS, Byhalia, 442 E. Stonewall Rd

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and communicate workload, staffing assignments and service priorities; adjust resources as conditions change.
• Supervise warehouse associates complete all daily activities and execute according to schedule and defined procedures.
• Use the WMS to track orders, inventory and labor; maintain accurate records and shift reports.
• Train/coach Team Leaders so they understand and can execute all assigned duties.
• Conduct performance appraisals for hourly associates.
• Provide associates with coaching/counseling as needed and ongoing developmental opportunities.
• Conduct daily shift handoff meetings to ensure continuity of operations.
• Lead safe work practices, required training, and incident reporting in partnership with site HSE leader.
• Actively participate in facility-wide improvement projects.

Your Background:

• Minimum 3 years distribution or manufacturing supervision experience.
• Bachelor’s degree – Business, Logistics or related field, preferred.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Must be analytical and well organized.
• Must have strong knowledge of Blue Yonder or other WMS.
