POSITION SUMMARY –Assist with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Guide, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary shipping products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Simultaneously, developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all other departments in order to meet production goals. Operate powered industrial vehicles such as lift trucks, high lifts, internal combustion or electric. Pull orders as directed by the pick list. Optimize shipping space and minimize costs. WORK ENVIRONMENT —Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Motivate the individuals on the team to work in a unified manner
  • Provide employee coaching and training
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; work to continuously improve in all areas
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
  • Check equipment, fluid levels, tires, etc. daily, and complete daily check sheet
  • Load and unload trailers and scan all items
  • Verify pallets, crates, and boxes are correctly labeled and identified
  • Operate pallet wrapper and floor scale
  • Route and deliver goods to proper areas within the plant
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Sweep up floor debris as needed
  • Follow Forklift safety procedures
  • Know MSDS material hazards
  • Pull truck load, less than truckload & small package product for shipment to customers’ needs
  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
  • Maintain and support the environmental policy with deployment, governance of the policy and processes, evaluation and taking action for process improvement
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong team building, decision making, and people management skills
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles, budgeting, resources allocation, and human resources
  • Ability to operate scan guns for movement of material and inventory and location check
  • Ability to effectively manage people in a production environment
  • Ability to work appropriately and effectively unsupervised
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Ability to operate shrink wrap machine and battery hoist and band pallets
  • Effective communication between other work areas
  • Watchful of pedestrian traffic


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Associate’s Degree preferred

Experience:Three to five years of experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred

Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; Proficient using Microsoft Office; Ability to learn in-house software

Certificates & Licenses:Must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification
