Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a warehouse leader to coordinate receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations. You will supervise staff, develop direct reports, and ensure timely, accurate completion of daily tasks, while coordinating with the Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver for delivery schedules.

The role requires at least three years of leadership experience in a warehouse setting, with a college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple warehouse functions including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
• Develop and coach direct reports.
• Review bills of lading and customer orders to plan work activities.
• Prepare truck delivery schedules with the Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver.
• Assign duties and ensure schedules are followed and tasks completed accurately.
• Supervise leads and warehouse staff and ensure timely operations.
• Recruit and train warehouse teammates on safety and equipment use.
• Enforce policies and safety regulations; motivate workers to meet goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel actions as needed.
• Suggest improvements to processes and equipment for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Federal regulations including DEA and OSHA.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 -$75,000. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, and education.

Shift

Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm plus overtime as necessary.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and managing multiple warehouse functions including receiving, warehousing, and shipping. This position has overall warehouse operations responsibility during the absence of the Warehouse Manager. This person will be responsible for developing and coaching their direct reports.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems.
• Works with teammates to review bills of lading of incoming merchandise and customer orders to plan work activities.
• Works with Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver to prepare truck driver's delivery schedule.
• Assigns teammates to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and/or assembling customer orders for delivery.
• Establishes work schedules and ensures that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
• Responsible for supervising Leads, warehouse teammates and other supervisors as appropriate to ensure all warehouse functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Screens and hires warehouse teammates; ensures teammates receive the appropriate training for their job function including the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment and warehouse machinery.
• Interprets company policies to teammates and enforces safety regulations; Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Conducts performance reviews and recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions.
• Recommends measures to improve quality and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Ensures total adherence to all Federal statues regarding warehouse operations including DEA and OSHA regulations.
• Works with non-warehouse departments such as Account Receivable, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure coordination of warehouse activities.
• Must possess a general ability to use Windows based programs and the routine ability to retrieve and utilize available reports related to essential job activities.
• Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifying Experience

• College Degree strongly preferred

• Material handling equipment experience such as fork lift, pallet jack, etc.
