Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced environment, while leading a team of associates.

The role requires 3–6 years in warehouse operations, an AA degree or equivalent, and forklift instructor certification. You will work Saturdays and coordinate with maintenance, scheduling, and compliance teams to meet company

Qualifications

  • AA degree or equivalent required; forklift instructor certification preferred.
  • 3–6 years of relevant warehouse operations experience.
  • Experience with production planning, inventory control, and continuous improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains plans, implements, and monitors day-to-day warehouse operations to meet objectives for shipping, rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness.
  • Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times; ensures compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations.
  • Communicates with associates to ensure compliance with productivity, safety, and sanitation policies.
  • Monitors and completes reports such as time records, daily logs, damage reports, and related paperwork.
  • Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery.
  • Plans and schedules manpower.
  • Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.

ABOUT THE JOB
Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. Schedules and monitors associate activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Maintains Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the warehouse department to ensure that established objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded.
  • Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times andmakes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations.
  • Routinely informs and communicates with associates to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc.
  • Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery.
  • Plans and schedules manpower.
  • Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
Education & Experience
Education and experience equivalent to

AA degree from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution. Forklift instructor certification.

Experience
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations.
  • Experience with production planning, inventory control, and continuous improvement strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Storage and shipment of food or allied products.
  • Food and material handling
  • Inventory control concepts and techniques
  • Barcoding
  • Company computer systems
  • Warehouse racking systems/processes
  • Supervisory concepts and techniques
  • Relevant regulatory procedures and standards (OSHA, USDA, AIB, HAACP, etc.)

  • Lead a diverse workforce in a 24 hour/7 day per week operation
  • Work in a union environment
  • Supervise and motivate associates in a team-based environment
  • Interpret warehouse operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions
  • Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
  • Act in accordance with GSF's Values and Creed

  • Supervises of up to 20 hourly associates. Manages projects and assignments with significant impact on customer service.
  • Due to operational needs; this role requires Saturdays
