Job summary

DESSERT HOLDINGS is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Humble, TX facility to lead electricians and mechanics in executing the maintenance plan and driving reliability. You will oversee asset management, schedule resources, and coach teams to improve MTTR while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work in a fast-growing dessert manufacturing environment, collaborating with operations to maintain high uptime, quality, and safety standards across the production floor.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industrial mechanical experience; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Experience leading and supervising a team.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair semi-complex mechanical machinery.
• Familiarity with Fanuc/ABB robotics troubleshooting and adjustments.
• Experience with ammonia and freezer systems.
• Proficient in CMMS and MS Office.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Electricians and Mechanics responsible for executing the maintenance plan.
• Provide leadership and support to operation line teams and participate in daily direction setting meetings.
• Coach and implement standard work practices for breakdown elimination and maintenance improvements.
• Create schedules optimizing resource alignment to reduce MTTR, including overtime and vacation coverage.
• Conduct team performance appraisals and coach technicians on maintenance standards.
• Ensure a safe work environment and track maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Support Autonomous Maintenance within the operations team.

Dessert Holdings is looking for aMaintenance Supervisorto join our team based inHumble, TX. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for driving functional problem solving, innovations and process improvement of assets, processes, and technology. You will provide support and expertise for asset management, to ensure machine availability, reliability, and performance by executing the maintenance plan.

Your Day-to-Day

• Supervise a team of Electricians and Mechanics that are responsible for the execution of the Maintenance plan.
• Provide leadership and support to the operation line teams and participate in their team/area Daily Direction Setting meeting.
• Support standard work practices for breakdown elimination and ensure action items are implemented.
• Create a schedule to ensure alignment of resources to reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), while managing overtime and vacation coverage for the team.
• Conduct team member performance appraisals.
• Coach and teach technicians maintenance standards and continuously identify opportunities to improve standards to drive out losses.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are tracked and documented within the CMMS.
• Actively coach for Autonomous Maintenance within the operations team.
• Operate within the Quality Management System and SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure employee safety within the workplace and the production of safe and quality products.

What You Bring to the Team

• At least 7+ years of Industrial Mechanical experience; at least a two-year technical degree is preferred
• Prior experience with leading and supervising a team
• fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, HVAC and mechanical drawings to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all assigned equipment
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair semi complex mechanical machinery to include pumps, fans, ovens, control valves, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic systems
• Must have experience with Fanuc, ABB Robotics troubleshooting and adjustments
• Experience with Rigging and lifting of mechanical equipment
• Understanding and experience with Ammonia and Freezer systems
• Solid computer skills, including experience working with a CMMS and proficiency in MS Office
• Mut be able to activity participate in maintenance activities on the production floor, including using hands and fingers to reach and handle objects, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend, as well as lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must have Forklift License or obtain within 30 days
• Must be willing to be flexible with schedule, including working overtime to include weekends, if necessary
