Job summary

United Utility Supply, a leading material distributor serving the rural electric market, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for its Illinois operations in Decatur. The role includes supervising receiving and shipping, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while supporting delivery reporting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in warehouse supervision and customer service, with a valid driver’s license and forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years customer service experience required.
• 2 years warehouse/supervisory experience required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Forklift experience preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain forklift license.
• Walking, bending and lifting in excess of 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise incoming and outgoing materials including oversight of inventory.
• Provide exceptional customer service including receiving, filling and follow up on customer orders.
• Manage delivery, oversee and maintain warehouse materials, organizing and putting materials into inventory.
• Assist with delivery information and reports; support warehouse staff and inside sales as needed.

United Utility Supply (UUS) is owned by member cooperatives in 17 states. As a full line stocking distributor, UUS supplies a complete line of materials critical to the electric utility industry. This includes transformers, conductors, pole line hardware, lighting, underground accessories, grounding equipment, guying, insulators, protective equipment, distribution and transmission poles, utility tools and safety supplies.

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Illinois(Decatur). This position will supervise incoming and outgoing materials including oversite of inventory; provide exceptional customer service including receiving, filling and follow up on customer orders, will manage delivery, will oversee and maintain warehouse materials including organizing and putting materials into inventory, and assist with delivery information and reports as needed. They will also be accountable to support the warehouse staff and inside sales with duties as needed.

• Excellent Customer service and communication skills required

2 years customer service experience preferred

2 years warehouse/supervisory experience required

• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft office applications required
