Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers in Southborough, MA, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage warehouse activities across assigned area(s)/account(s), plan and supervise daily operations, and maximize productivity. Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, you will ensure efficient processes and maintain safety standards.

This role runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with starting compensation at $65K per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and policies.
• Experience with 3PL, supply chain, and transportation concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS systems.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations to meet safety, sanitation, productivity, and quality goals.
• Supervise scheduling, time and attendance, and staff development.
• Hire interviews, train, counsel, and document employee performance.
• Ensure SOP training and conduct method observations per standards.
• Balance labor and provide cross-coverage to support shifts using LEAPS tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system transactions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and drive continuous improvement.
• Keep the facility neat, secure, and compliant; address customer concerns promptly.
• Lead start-up meetings and communicate daily goals and updates.

The Position:
The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, will manage and oversee the warehouse activities of their assigned area(s)/account(s), ensure efficientprocesses, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Supervisor will plan, organize,supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities.

This position works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, from 5:00am- 3:30pm.

The compensation range for this position starts at $65K/year, depending on experience.

How You\'ll Make an Impact:

• Responsible for adhering to and meeting daily department goals in safety,
  sanitation, productivity, and quality across all assigned area(s)/account(s).
• Provides supervision and direction to the team for day-to-day workflow, including associate and temporary staff scheduling, time, and attendance management.
• Makes staffing recommendations, interviews applicants, assesses training needs, counsels employees, recommends corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate, and documents employee performance.
• Ensures associates are properly trained on all standard operating procedures; conducts and documents method observations per company standards.
• Partners with other supervisors to balance labor, provide cross-coverage as business needs dictate, and ensure efficient shift operations utilizing LEAPS tools.
• Ensures all required documentation and system transactions (electronic and/or manual) for assigned area(s)/account(s) are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintains physical inventory accuracy at defined company standards; proactively identifies and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assesses warehouse operations continuously to ensure the facility remains neat, secure, safe, and well-organized; articulates customer concerns and operational issues to facility management in a timely manner.
• Actively leads start-up meetings, effectively communicates daily goals, building and company-wide information, GGOB updates, and sets the energy level and tone of the day.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; Some college experience preferred.
• Powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment).
• Experience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operationsand policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of 3PL, Supply Chain, and Transportation, WMS system preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
• Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
  maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
