Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, inventory, issuing, and shipping activities. The role guides stockroom movement of finished goods and parts, driving accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates bring at least 5 years of shipping/receiving experience, strong communication, and proficiency with SAP, UPS World Ship, and FedEx Ship Manager. Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA; salary $72,000–$82,000.

• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Experience in SAP a plus.
• Experience in aerospace environment a plus.
• Some college a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily management of material handling, shipping, receiving, and data entry.
• Manage layout of stockroom considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping materials.
• Maintain and review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Support and drive continuous process improvement
• Process both customer and vendor returns as required
• Support cycle count program to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
• Determines and documents work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Works with Buyers to resolve invoicing and receipt issues
• Manage department to planned budget
• Review and coordinates logistics on both import and export of goods with Supply Chain.
• Works closely with Sales/Customer service to support customer orders and requests
• Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required

About the Job

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Manages movement of finished goods and parts within the stockroom.
