About the Job
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an orderly and professional warehouse where all inventory can be efficiently accessed, maintained, and counted. They are responsible for error-free shipping of materials (within 24 hours for new orders) and communicating with customers and sales representatives on an as-needed basis. Ensuring that inbound orders are accurately received and the product is distributed to the appropriate departments. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse processes and identifying ways to improve the flow as well as encouraging associates to bring new ideas forward. They are also responsible for training new employees.
Complete LEAN training and participate in continuous improvement projects when you see the potential to eliminate waste
Align performance to assigned KPI goals individually and for your team.
Build, train, coach, and maintain a high performing Team including but not limited to; staffing for current and future demand, completing Individual Development Plans (IDP) for personnel, taking disciplinary action as necessary, and recognizing high performers when appropriate
Packs orders while maintaining department schedule
Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock
Accurately updates inventory system and stock information
Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information
Sends booking requests to shipping lines
Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
Liaises with Production about material ordering and storage
Keeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and receipt dates
Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency
Analyzes shipping costs to improve standard shipping processes
Develops knowledge about freight practices
Works well with the technical support and sales teams to complete orders on time
Receives inbound finished goods and raw materials, following procedure to accurately record receipt in inventory system and organize appropriate paperwork
Maintains stocks levels of all shipping supplies
Performs additional duties, as assigned

3 + years of shipping and freight experience
Strong computer skills required
Ability to problem solve unique issues and high attention to detail
Experience managing a team of associates
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for duration of shift
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to use a keyboard and headset for work done at a computer
Must be able to lift and move up to 100lbs
