Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee inventory control, material flow, and shipping/receiving for OEM and MRO operations. You will coordinate with planning, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure accurate materials handling and timely production support.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in aerospace production, strong detail orientation, and ERP familiarity, with the ability to train staff and manage cycle counts and annual inventories.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of inventory and inventory movement.
• Review and oversee material and inventory transactions, cycle counts, and receiving to complete PO in ERP.
• Oversee daily inventory transactions, material stores, and shipping/receiving.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
• Support production scheduling to meet Master Production Schedule.
• Coordinate with Strategic Materials Lead and Production to manage consumables.
• Maintain inventory storage areas and cycle count accuracy.
• Lead annual stores and WIP physical inventory counts.
• Collaborate with Planners to issue materials for production.
• Coordinate with Raw Material Buyers/Planners/Engineers and Quality on RTV material.
• Monitor ERP (Syteline) messages for release, due, and promise dates.
• Assist in purchasing materials and outside services for production.
• Support audits and comply with safety rules.
• Lead Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom operations for OEM/MRO.
• Train employees and daily superintendents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division has a challenging and rewarding job opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of duties supporting material flow throughout the manufacturing process, which includes ordering purchased parts, outside processing services and coordinating inventory control transactions to ensure inventory is on hand to support the day today needs of the business. In addition, this individual will have responsibility for standard work and inventory accuracy of material transactions and all inventory including consumables. Core Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of inventory and inventory movement.
• Oversee and review various material and inventory transactions, cycle counts, and receiving function to complete purchase order function into ERP.
• Daily management of all inventory transactions, material stores and OV shipping and receiving.
• Provide oversight for proper handling and storage of materials.
• Assure production requirements are met by OV’s in accordance with the Master Production Schedule.
• Work directly with the Strategic Materials Lead and Production team to organize and track all consumable tools including grinding wheels, electrodes, cutters, drills, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring all material storage areas are maintained.
• Maintain cycle count program with ABC stratification, review and resolve adjustments (with approvals) and report accuracy.
• Serve as lead for annual stores and WIP Physical Inventory counts.
• Collaborate with Planners to plan and issue material for production machining, raw material, and semi-finished components.
• Collaborate with Raw Material Buyers/Planners/Engineers and Quality team to manage and maintain RTV material.
• Understand and monitor ERP (Syteline) messages for release dates, due dates and promise dates for materials and purchase parts.
• Assist in purchasing Materials, Purchased Parts, OV Processes and Outside Services to meet production and delivery requirements.
• Support all Financial and Quality audits as required.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
• Lead the operations of Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom for both OEM and MRO businesses.
• Responsible for training employees and daily superintendents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in an aerospace production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Ability to prioritize workload as conflicts arise and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions based on data and instruction.
• Ability to interpret travelers and work instructions.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required as well as working knowledge of ERP system.
• Candidate must be able to work well in both a team environment and across various departmental functions within the company.
• Ability to effectively operate lift truck or hand truck to move, convey or hoist materials, or product.
