Job summary

Sellars Absorbent Materials, Milwaukee location, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage day-to-day logistics at the Midtown and 5400 Good Hope facilities. You will coordinate shipping, supervise Logistics Associates, and partner with production to align daily logistics plans.

Ideal candidates bring five years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office. The role emphasizes safety, process improvements, and accurate inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Problem solving: identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Focus on continually improving processes and measuring improvements.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Description

This position is primarily responsible for managing the day to day logistics operations at the Midtown and 5400 Good Hope locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure daily on-time shipping requirements are met.
  • Provide frontline support for daily logistics operations.
  • Supervise Logistics Associates.
  • Maintain department shipment data and records, run weekly reports.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy.
  • Follow all company safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Sellars products are met on a continuing basis.
  • Coordinate unloading and put away of incoming product.
  • Communicate with production teams (on all shifts) about daily logistics plan.
  • Apply lean principles to reduce costs and continually improve workflow.
  • Ensure that all shipping and receiving processes are being followed.
  • Determine, suggest, and implement cost-effective logistics process improvements to better serve customers and the company.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the building.
  • Maintain all assigned metrics.
  • Train new employees.
  • Perform any other duties not listed above deemed necessary.

Education and Experience Required
  • Prior experience in warehouse supervision preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to move around the facility to meet with employees in various locations.
  • Use a computer and phone to conduct business.
  • Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Complete Sellars training to operate material handling equipment when needed.
