Job summary

Braskem America is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee site operations in Texas, ensuring accurate inventory, proper stock levels, and compliant material handling. The role collaborates with the Material Registry Team to maintain a consistent material dictionary and optimal stock parameters.

Responsibilities include supervising warehouse activities, supporting maintenance and reliability teams, and driving cost savings through process improvements while ensuring adherence to procurement

  • Supervise Braskem Warehouse Technicians and contracted staff.

  • Resolve OnBase deviations from Accounts Payable.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Reliability teams and educate site staff on procedures.
  • Support supplier interface to expedite materials.
  • Provide 24‑hour operational support.

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor will review US Braskem inventory history per site versus requirements to identify gaps in material descriptions, vendor information, inventory max/min, etc. This person will work with the Material Registry Team to manage the material Add/Change/Delete process, ensuring that the “dictionary” nomenclature and stock parameters align with site material requirements. They will also work on special projects assigned by procurement leaders to capture cost savings, cost avoidances, and process efficiencies.

They will supervise day-to-day warehouse operations and be responsible for warehouse KPI’s such as cycle counts, material exposure risks, kitting, overmax, stockouts, etc. They will work seamlessly with site warehouse personnel to manage ordering and receiving of storeroom, direct-buy, and catalog materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision of Braskem Warehouse Technicians and contracted Warehouse technicians.
  • Warehousing functions at designated Braskem site.
  • Technical support for all Braskem sites as needed.
  • Research and resolve OnBase deviations from Accounts Payable.
  • Lead for communication and support with Maintenance and Reliability.
  • Trainer for site teams and other locations on warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Interface with suppliers to expedite materials.
  • Attend and provide warehouse/material information for MPE, RIT, and HDIG to support maintenance and plant activities.
  • 24‑hour support to the business.
  • Management of and working with third‑party suppliers in the Open Issue and VMI materials area.
  • Post cycle counts and investigate as needed.
  • Enforce compliance with Procurement and business procedures.
  • Communicate and educate team members on warehouse policies, procedures, strategies, and goals.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of procurement and warehousing processes, procedures, and directives.
  • Working knowledge of all requestor functions in SAP.
  • Experience with Warehousing transactions in SAP.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve business initiatives, but also be a self‑motivated individual who can work independently to manage projects.
  • Business acumen, customer focus, ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with suppliers, co‑workers, and internal customers.
  • Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and propose economic solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Ability to operate independently and take initiative.
  • Good communication skills with ability to interface well with a wide variety of customers.
  • Positive attitude, with an open‑minded approach to learning.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience related to procurement, warehousing, manufacturing maintenance, or chemical plant operations.
  • Experience in the capital and maintenance field services.
  • Experience in the petrochemical or plastics industry.
  • Experience writing and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Experience with Purchasing and Sourcing modules in Coupa.
