Job summary

Atlas Bolt & Screw Company LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor in Ashland to lead shipping and distribution activities, ensure safety compliance, and manage costs. You will supervise warehouse staff, schedule shipping, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement using the 80/20 toolbox.

Experience in manufacturing, ERP systems, and forklift operations required; strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 4–5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment; forklift operation ability and forklift trainer capability; pre-hire drug screening.

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the shipping and distribution of Atlas product; ensures workers are following safety guidelines; monitors and controls distribution expenses; and utilizes the 80/20 toolbox and continuous improvements by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedules shipping assignments for shipping personnel
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Understands, promotes and enforces Safety policies and procedures.
  • Recommends measures to improve distribution methods, processes, performance, and quality of product.
  • Examines and maintains warehouse equipment.
  • Analyzes and resolves job, order, and inventory issues in Syspro
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Leads warehouse activities to pick, organize and stage material for shipment and receiving.
  • Understands and conducts quality inspection requirements to ensure Atlas standards are achieved and adhered to.
  • Performs duties of all job assignment when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Ashland warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems and performing job assignments (closure department, paint department, shipping department and any other department they have been trained to work) when needed. Plus, continually works to improve Supervisory skills.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with ERP systems required.

Other Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

Experience working in a manufacturing environment; enforcing Safety procedures; Mechanical ability; Maintenance experience a plus. Must be able to pass a driver’s exam to operate a forklift along with the ability to be a forklift trainer. Must pass pre-hire drug screening.
