Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor at Reliable Heating & Air

Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work, maximizing warehouse productivity, maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies through receiving, storing, and delivering items. This role also involves developing, coaching, and supervising staff.

Essential Functions

1. Manage all warehouse, inventory, and metal recycling operations.
2. Oversee receipt and dispersal of materials and equipment.
3. Supervise the Warehouse team, including recycling department, by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising results, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and developing policies and standards.
4. Ensure proper safety training to minimize damages and losses.
5. Handle department and customer requests promptly and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Maintain accurate stock control systems and assist with inventory counts.
7. Oversee procurement operations, including vendor negotiations for cost savings.
8. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
9. Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and shortages.
10. Set up warehouse layout for optimal space utilization.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in Warehouse Operations within HVAC or related industries.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience developing best practices and process improvements.
• Proficient in MS Office and analytical tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and flexible shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
