Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is hiring a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor: The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. This role provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for warehouse personnel while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and compliance with company, regulatory, and food‑safety standards. The Warehouse Supervisor collaborates closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to maintain smooth operational flow, optimize storage utilization, and support timely order fulfillment.

- Supervises warehouse personnel across shipping, receiving, and inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer service.
- Trains and onboards new employees, reinforcing best practices, company policies, and safety standards.
- Coaches employees on performance expectations, productivity, and adherence to plant rules.
- Communicates operational updates, priorities, and workflow changes to warehouse staff and cross‑functional teams.
- Administers company policies and plant rules to promote effective employee relations and consistent performance.
- Coordinates daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely, accurate movement of materials and finished goods.
- Oversees receiving processes and maintains accurate logs for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Assigns and monitors picking orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Verifies equipment functionality at the start of each shift and reports issues to Maintenance.
- Supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and data entry.
- Implements process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize storage utilization.
- Maintains accurate documentation, logs, and records for all warehouse activities.
- Conducts safety orientation and ongoing safety training for warehouse employees.
- Enforces safe work practices and corrects unsafe behaviors or conditions.
- Identifies and prevents hazards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
- Investigates workplace accidents and assists with corrective actions.
- Ensures compliance with all plant, regulatory, and corporate requirements, including GMPs, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, and prerequisite programs.
- Monitors quality standards and partners with Quality Assurance during inspections and sample collection.
- Operates forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and ensures team compliance with equipment standards.
- Partners with Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to support operational flow and resolve issues.
- Communicates with management regarding complaints, operational issues, or policy infractions.
- Assists with implementing cost‑saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Stays current on new techniques, systems, and developments in warehousing, inventory control, and logistics.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes and systems.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience; food industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Experience with WMS, ERP, or computerized inventory systems.
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
