Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods on a Mon–Fri shift. You will lead warehouse staff, monitor productivity, and ensure compliance with safety standards across all operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and documenting activities. Candidates should have strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience with ERP/WMS systems in a

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business, management, logistics or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment.
  • ERP/WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels to support production.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Communicates effectively – verbally & in writing - with employees, management, vendors and drivers.
  • Regularly reviews and approves employee hours and attendance infractions using Kronos time management software.
  • Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.
  • Ensures compliance OSHA, state and local regulations among shipping personnel.

Overview

Work Shift: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-12amT. MarzettiCompanyis looking to hire team members who will grow with us on our journey towardsworld-classoperational excellence.The position ofWarehouse Supervisoris responsible forplanning,organizing,andmonitoringthe receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and supplies to ensure these items are stored or delivered to the proper areas/departments in an efficient,timelymanner during an assigned shift. Alsomonitorsthe shipment of finished product andgoods.

Responsibilities
  • Engagement

    • Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goalson a daily basis.

    • ActivelyparticipatesinMarzetti OperationalExcellence,special projects or tasks,andmodificationprograms as needed with prior approval.
    • Activelyparticipatesin department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.

    Safety

    • Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
    • Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves,shieldsandaprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provideoptimalpersonal safety & protection while working in thefacility.
    • SuccessfullyacquiresandmaintainsLock Out-Tag Out Certification formachineand safely performs all functions in accordancetoOHSA andcompany requirements and standards.
    • Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.

    Quality

    • Correctsissues whenidentifiedandparticipatesin problem solving.
    • Ensures compliancetoquality, food safety/ HACCP,FSMA,Food Defense,5S, OSHA and othersupport programs; assures conformity to all company,customerand government standards.
    • Communicatesany concerns related to product safety, integrity,qualityand legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

    Functional Capability

Working Conditions/Environment
  • Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, graspand bend while moving about the facility.
  • Must be able to move 50 pounds at a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals.
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-10 hours shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks.
  • May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap.
  • SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists)are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards.Condition of these items must be inspected by employee daily and be replaced when no longer providing the optimal protection of the Team Member.
