Job summary

• Reconcile quantities and documentation for parts with outside processors.
• Work with Production/Purchasing/Quality to prevent production delays.
• Identify and resolve inventory, shipping, and logistics issues using root-cause methods.
• Ensure proper documentation and safe handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR and EAR where applicable.
• Maintain shipping/inventory records and compliance documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse, inventory, and logistics processes.

We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, and the movement of materials through internal manufacturing operations and external processing vendors.

This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing-floor experience who understands the importance of inventory accuracy, ERP transactions, shipping/receiving, and keeping materials moving to support production schedules.

The Logistics Supervisor will lead a small team while working closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure materials and parts move accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory operations.
• Lead, train, and hold accountable a team of 1–5 employees.
• Manage inventory control and cycle counting activities, maintaining greater than 98% inventory accuracy.
• Receive, weigh, count, label, package, and ship manufactured parts and materials.
• Coordinate the movement of parts through outside processing, including plating, coating, heat treating, ultrasonic cleaning, and other secondary operations.
• Track parts and materials through internal and external manufacturing processes to support production schedules.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and outside vendors.
• Maintain accurate ERP transactions for inventory, material movements, shipments, and outsourced processing.
• Reconcile quantities and documentation for parts sent to and received from outside processors.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality to prioritize material movement and prevent production delays.
• Identify and resolve inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics issues using root-cause and corrective-action methods.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, counting, and handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable shipping and handling requirements, including ITAR and EAR requirements where applicable.
• Maintain shipping records, inventory records, logs, and compliance documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse, inventory, and logistics processes.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading employees in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory control and cycle counting.
• Experience using an ERP system for inventory and material transactions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work hands‑on in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing of metal parts, injection molding, or other discrete manufacturing environments.
• Experience coordinating outside processing / subcontract manufacturing, such as plating, coating, heat treating, or cleaning.
• Experience with vendor coordination and outside processing schedules.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience working with ITAR, EAR, or other controlled/regulated products.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on, on-site manufacturing position.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk throughout warehouse and production areas for extended periods.
• Lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Bend, reach, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
• Operate or work around forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
• Work around manufacturing machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
