Job summary

American Chrome Company (ACC) in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead frontline warehouse teams across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to meet order fulfillment targets. You will ensure accurate, on-time processing of customer orders, monitor labor to maximize throughput, and drive safety, quality, and inventory controls using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot fulfillment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates across all distribution functions.
• Enforce safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity performance standards.
• Prepare operational reports related to productivity, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, and safety.

Job description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily distribution center operations, ensuring the accurate, safe, and on-time movement of merchandise from receipt through shipment. This role leads frontline warehouse associates across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet order fulfillment, service-level, productivity, and inventory accuracy goals in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position reports to the Director, Supply Chain, Operations & Facilities in Bolingbrook.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Execution

• Supervise and coordinate daily distribution activities including receiving, replenishment, order picking, packing, staging, and outbound shipping.
• Ensure accurate, timely processing of customer orders to meet outbound delivery schedules and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor workload and labor allocation to maximize throughput and minimize delays during peak volumes.
• Troubleshoot fulfillment issues (shortages, mis-picks, carrier delays) and implement corrective actions.

Inventory & Systems

• Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counting, root cause analysis, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Use WMS/ERP systems to track inventory movements, order status, and productivity metrics.
• Partner with inventory control and planning teams to resolve discrepancies and improve flow.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates across all distribution functions.
• Enforce performance standards related to safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity.
• Conduct performance feedback, attendance management, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support onboarding and continuous training to ensure consistency with distribution processes.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, including proper equipment operation and material handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment (5S–or similar standards).
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action plans to reduce safety and quality issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve picking accuracy, order cycle time, dock-to-stock time, and labor efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support operational changes or system enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with transportation, customer service, procurement, and operations leadership.

Reporting

• Prepare and review operational reports related to productivity, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and safety performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-3 yrs warehouse operations experience
• 2 -3 yrs experience in a supervisory role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
