This is an **on-site** role located in **Chicago, IL**.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys leading teams, and takes pride in building safe, efficient, and well-organized warehouse operations.Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00PM-11:00PMWhat You’ll Do* Supervise, train, and coach warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.* Coordinate loading, unloading, and dispatch of shipments to ensure accurate and on-time customer deliveries.* Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.* Oversee proper storage, staging, and movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control costs.* Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and warehouse records using ERP or warehouse management systems.* Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.* Oversee the safe operation and routine maintenance of forklifts, cranes, and material-handling equipment.* Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Who You Are* 3+ years of warehouse and shipping experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment; steel or pipe/tube experience preferred.* 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.* Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping logistics; ERP or WMS experience preferred.* Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate material-handling equipment, and work in an industrial setting.* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What You’ll GetZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
