Job summary

HF Sinclair’s Casper Wyoming Refinery and the Cheyenne Renewable Diesel Unit (RDU) are seeking a Site Warehouse Supervisor to supervise warehouse and inventory management across Casper and Cheyenne locations. You will ensure efficient shipping, receiving, storage, distribution, and adherence to company policies.

The role requires five years of on-the-job experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and capability to coordinate procurement, cycle counts, and staff training.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse and inventory at two locations (Casper & Cheyenne WY).
  • Identify and implement inventory management best practices.
  • Coordinate inventory of materials and parts to maintain supply.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with maintenance and turn-around.
  • Travel 50% between locations.
  • Train warehouse staff in safety and inventory systems and conduct evaluations.
  • Oversee plant workflow for inventory setup, stock records and part associations.
  • Procure and expedite warehouse materials; conduct RFQs.

HF Sinclair’s Casper Wyoming Refinery and the Cheyenne Renewable Diesel Unit (RDU) facility is seeking a Site Warehouse Supervisor to supervise the warehouse and inventory management functions and personnel. Ensure warehouse/materials management provides greatest overall benefit to company; ensure shipping, receiving, storage and distribution are performed in an efficient manner and according to company policies and procedures; ensure goods are available when and where needed in the required quantity, quality and price.

Job Duties
  • Oversees warehouse and inventory management activities at two locations (Casper & Cheyenne WY), and ensures assigned jobs are completed according to policies and procedures, safely and effectively.
  • Identifies and implements inventory management and warehousing best practices.
  • Oversees and coordinates inventory of materials and parts to maintain required supply, including evaluating inventory levels and auto-reorder system procedures.
  • Utilizes maintenance schedule to coordinate warehouseman kitting, staging and other materials management activity.
  • Travel 50% as required between two geographically dispersed locations.
  • Understanding of Labor relations. Experience with labor unions is preferable.
  • Responsible for training warehouse employees in workplace safety practices, correct handling of equipment, and inventory management system, and completes employee evaluations on performance.
  • Oversees plant workflow for inventory set up, including new parts numbers, stock records, bin locations, order quantities and parts association.
  • Expedites upcoming and overdue warehouse material purchase.
  • Performs procurement function for warehouse inventory and low value expensed parts as assigned, including conducting RFQs for warehouse-inventoried materials.
  • Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents, equipment, building and tools against loss.
  • Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports.
  • Manages the plants surplus and scrap material processes according to policies and procedures. May include managing third party auction providers and scrap metal buyers.
  • Ensures that inventory cycle counts are conducted according to policies and procedures, that segregation of duties is maintained and approves final count results.
  • Tracks and reports warehouseman regular, call-out and overtime hours, conducts call outs as needed.
  • Coordinates storage for Engineering, Maintenance, Turn-around and capital materials.
  • Reviews receipt and Purchase Order documents to facilitate invoice payment.
  • Supports system enhancements or changes, and ensures warehousing information systems and hardware are properly utilized.
  • Supports internal audit activity, including yearly material and supply count verifications.
  • May be required to prepare and manage warehouse budget.
  • May create, revise or implement warehouseman personnel/craft qualification criteria.
  • Create and maintain a well-organized and professional looking work area.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience

A minimum of five years of on-the-job experience is required.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.

Required Skills

Previous supervisory experience, knowledge of material handling equipment. Transportation management, computerized inventory control preferably SAP and distribution/warehouse operations. Advanced leadership, interpersonal, organization and ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to handle special projects while performing regular job duties. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Basic reading and writing skills, and with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsible for the supervision of up to Five employees, may include both staff and contractors.

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, climbing up to 20ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
