Job summary

Givaudan is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of Warehouse Operators/Material Handlers, ensuring accurate material handling, storage, and shipment processes. The role focuses on planning workloads, coordinating with production schedules, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has extensive logistics experience, proven people management skills, and strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse process flow.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving regulations and protocol.

  • Proficient with warehouse management systems and real‑time inventory updates.

Responsibilities

  • Plan workload for the team to balance efficiency and overtime while ensuring customer service and quality.
  • Consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan material flows weekly and daily.
  • Review schedules, customer orders, and requisitions to prioritize and dispatch work orders.
  • Oversee reception and storage of incoming materials and related admin tasks.
  • Prepare materials for shipment to match customer orders.
  • Monitor loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and staging activities by product code and type.
  • Lead physical inventories and cycle counts, maintain stock rotation and accurate records in the WMS.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and safety regulations when operating forklifts and power equipment.
  • Maintain warehouse installations and equipment, report service needs.
  • Identify capability gaps and conduct trainings for the team.
  • Conduct annual HR processes for Warehouse teams and develop local capability pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Logistics leadership and HR to promote internal talent.

Job Overview

As a warehouse supervisor you will lead a team of Warehouse Operators/Material Handlers responsible for operating material handling equipment and performing tasks such as loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, storing, locating, relocating, and stacking materials/products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan the workload for the team with focus on load leveling to prevent overtime while ensuring customer service and process quality.
  • Collect and consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan weekly and daily material flows and inform needs in terms of material/product stocks to satisfy demand and supply without creating business disruptions.
  • Review production schedules, customer orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed, prioritize work orders and dispatch these to the team.
  • Oversee the reception of incoming materials, related administrative tasks (batch number recordings, goods receipt issuance, materials labeling) as well as dispatching and storage.
  • Oversee the preparation of materials/products for shipment to ensure that amount and type of product(s) match customer orders.
  • Monitor the loading, unloading, moving, stacking and staging of products and materials in dedicated areas and predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Lead physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation, disposal of unused/obsolete materials/products, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
  • Control that warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company (EHS) guidelines and public safety regulations, e.g., when involving forklifts, clamp trucks or other power equipment, or manipulation of hazardous materials/products.
  • Monitor the maintenance of warehouse installations and equipment by keeping them clean, safe and operational, reporting service requests as needed.
  • Identify capability gaps and conduct trainings to close them.
  • Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervisor.
  • Conduct annual human resources processes for the assigned Warehouse team(s) and validate results.
  • Work with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local capability pipeline for the function.
  • Drive the development and promotion of identified talents within and outside Logistics.
Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma in logistics.
  • 5 or more years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years of experience in people management.
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse process flow.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving regulations and protocol.
  • Good knowledge of material/product safety/security norms and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of inventory processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.
  • Good knowledge of production process flow and scheduling.
  • Operation of computers – desktop, and handheld for receiving, and real‑time inventory updates and customer order shipments.
Compensation and Benefits

The established salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high‑matching 401(k) retirement plan.
