Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficient in SAP or related ERP software.
  • Able to wear PPE, perform tasks, hair drug test and physical.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to obtain TWIC Card.
  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Travel 5%.
  • Able to work onsite for 9/80 or 4/10 schedule; core hours 6 AM - 4 PM.

Job Summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor position at its Wilmington Refinery in Wilmington, California. The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Refining Warehouse Manager located in Los Angeles, CA. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for developing warehousing strategies and coordinating warehouse activities in support of the Los Angeles refinery. This position oversees a team of contractor Warehouse Technicians. The available onsite schedules for the position are 9/80 or 4/10 - Monday- Thursday, after hours calls may be required several times a month and support of TAR once a year. Core hours: 6 AM - 4 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight in the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics, and quality control/assurance.
  • Coordinate and lead team members responsible for the handling and processing of materials and supplies, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Controller for material master creations/updates/deletions, daily Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
  • Provide guidance on local material management activities including cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external business partners through collaboration and understanding of our core business.
  • Champion and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives from both local and company led programs to enhance business objectives.
  • Maintain high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; lead and participate in activities supporting HES&S commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements related to warehousing and inventory control.
  • Optimize and maintain facilities (warehouses, laydown yards, chemical/catalyst storage, turnaround (TAR), temporary storage areas, offsite storage sites); ensure stationary and mobile equipment are maintained and replaced as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED degree. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date.)
  • Must have at least 5 years of Inventory Management, Materials Management, maintenance, warehousing, or other Supply Chain discipline experience in an oil and gas refinery or petro-chemical industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be proficient in SAP or related ERP software.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the warehouse/refinery, be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
  • Travel Requirement is 5%.
  • Must be able to work onsite for one of the available schedules 9/80 or 4/10 - Monday- Thursday, after hours calls may be required several times a month and support of TAR once a year. Core hours: 6 AM - 4 PM.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relocation may be available.
