Job summary

Johnstone Supply seeks a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead a dynamic team in its HVAC-focused operation. You will oversee daily activities from receiving to shipping, ensure inventory accuracy, and partner with purchasing, sales, and customer service to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of warehouse supervision, strong organizational skills, and experience with WMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years supervising a warehouse team in HVAC/building supplies or related
• Strong organizational and communication abilities; lead by example
• Experience with warehouse software and Microsoft Office; WMS a plus
• Forklift license or willingness to get certified
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay active
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a warehouse team to ensure daily operations (receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping)
• Maintain accurate inventory with cycle counts and documentation
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with emphasis on safety and accuracy
• Train new team members and promote a safety-first culture
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus)
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and customer service to solve problems and exceed expectations
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and motivate a warehouse team to ensure smooth daily operations—including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.

• Maintain accurate inventory through smart organization, regular cycle counts, and clear documentation.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring safety, speed, and accuracy.

• Train new team members and promote a strong safety-first culture.

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus—we can help if needed).

• Work closely with purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to solve problems and exceed customer expectations.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Table:

• 3+ years of experience supervising a warehouse team—ideally in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building supplies.

• Strong organizational and communication skills—you’re the kind of person who leads by example.

• Experience using warehouse software and Microsoft Office (WMS experience a plus).

• A forklift license or willingness to get certified.
