State Steel Supply Co. is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for second shift to load and unload steel, and to store and manage inventory in our Sioux Falls facility. You will work with overhead cranes and contribute to our safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures.

The role runs 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with training on first shift for 90 days. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with 401k matching and comprehensive insurance benefits.

What is a Warehouse Specialist?

Warehouse Specialists load and unload material (steel) from trucks and store it in our service warehouse inventory locations using overhead cranes. By making sure every piece of steel is accounted for and in the right place, this position ensures that our customers get the right materials at the right time. This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 2nd shift 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM Monday – Friday
• Training on the day shift for the first 90-days from 6 AM to 3:30 PM Monday to Friday.
• Exposure to the summer heat
• Moderately stressful and changing work environment
• Long periods walking and standing – up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 60 lbs.

What are the requirements of the Warehouse Specialist position?

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay of $20.00 an hour
• 401k retirement contribution matching
