An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist Jr. to manage a variety of warehousing tasks. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and shipping supplies while ensuring compliance with safety standards. In this Warehouse Specialist Jr. position, the incumbent shall perform the full spectrum of warehousing duties, including assisting in receiving, inspecting, storing, preparing, shipping, and disposing of supplies related to Ground Supply operations, similar to Marine Corps Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 3051. Responsibilities also include using AIS such as GCSS-MC/SSAVIE and material handling equipment. The incumbent must be able to obtain an operator’s license for non-tactical and tactical government-owned equipment.
Work will be performed inside a warehouse facility. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Standard core working hours are 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential night and weekend work depending on operational demands. Some travel may be required.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods. Use of phone, PC, or laptop, and filing are required. May require lifting and carrying boxes or files up to 50 lbs. Must have sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling, to complete daily duties efficiently.
Operation of government-owned equipment, including gas/diesel and electric forklifts, wheeled vehicles, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Use of general office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, copiers, and PCs/laptops.
Work assignments depend on client requirements. The position requires at least 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with flexibility for surge situations based on critical mission needs.
Candidate must demonstrate professional behavior promoting teamwork, cooperation, and productivity. Must be well-organized, capable of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for working with government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels. Grooming and dress should typically be business casual, adhering to client standards. Safety is a priority to ensure no hazards are posed to others.
This position requires a US government security clearance. If you possess dual citizenship, you will be required to relinquish foreign citizenship to obtain the clearance.
