Job summary

Chugach Electric Association in Anchorage seeks a Warehouse Worker to assist with inventory, issuing, receiving, and storage of equipment and materials under the Warehouse Foreman. You will perform duties safely and help operate material handling machinery.

Responsibilities include conducting inventories, delivering to crews, and maintaining records while supporting the department’s efficiency and safety goals.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent prior to employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years or 4,000 hours of experience as a warehouseman or material handler for an Electrical Utility or Distribution and Transmission Contractor.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and/or handle objects consistent with safety standards.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License; Medical Examiner’s Certificate; Red Cross First Aid/CPR or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Foreman or Leadman in maintaining supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Read and interpret pick lists to ensure correct materials issued and returned.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, flatbed trucks, and pallet jacks for issuance and receipt.
• Perform physical inventories to determine stock levels and report shortages.
• Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse and outside storage laydown yards.
• Pick up, deliver, and haul materials to crew as needed.
• Receive and process all warehouse inventory into the inventory management system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
