Job summary

LGG Industrial in Erie, PA is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to manage all activities in the warehouse and help meet customer expectations while achieving facility goals. You will receive shipments, post in the system, pick and pack, ship via UPS/FedEx/LTL, assist with inventory, and support safety and process improvements in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

A high school diploma or GED and reliable transportation are required; 2–4 years warehousing experience preferred; legally able to work

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• 2-4 years of warehousing or production experience.
• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Ability to work overtime, as required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about how our products are produced on equipment.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements).

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse.
• Identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and notify the supervisor.
• Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for pick up, delivery or shipping.
• Package and ship through UPS, FedEx, and LTL Motor Freight.
• Assist with staging local shipments for VMI delivery and Hot Shots.
• Handles customer pickups.
• Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements.
• Assists with physical inventory.
• Properly label and store received goods for future identification and retrieval.
• Maintain all warehouse locations, bins, and racks in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Properly keep designated stocking locations stocked as required.
• Pull stock for all "Pick- Pack-Ship" orders for daily customers.
• Provide correct parts and materials for daily production orders.
• Perform other duties as trained and qualified for
