Job Overview

The Warehouse Associates move and store materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated departments or areas within the facility, either manually or by hand truck. They rotate through various roles related to warehouse functions.

This position reports to the Distribution Lead and is based out of our Rantoul, IL office.

As the Warehouse Associate, you will have an opportunity to:

1. Pick sporting goods items in Manual Mode, Semi-manual Mode, or Fully Automatic Mode for filling customer orders.
2. Pick or pull products utilizing work order instructions to ensure the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
3. Examine products to ensure that picking specifications are met.
4. Deliver picked products as specified on WCS (Warehouse Control System) instructions.
5. Pick, package, or wrap a variety of materials.
6. Inspect items for defects, label cartons, and stamp information on products.
7. Ensure the correct packing materials are available at the packing station to fulfill orders.
8. Keep a record of items packed.
9. Place identification labels on full skid loads.
10. Stack packages on loading docks.
11. Interact with SAP/WCS via a handheld RF (Radio Frequency device) or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).
12. Use simple hand tools to perform job duties.
13. Complete all required paperwork.

You Have

1. One to three years of warehouse experience preferred.
2. Flexibility with work schedule and task changes. Be prepared to work overtime on Saturday and Sunday as needed.
3. Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high.
4. Ability to frequently lift and shift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum of 65 lbs throughout a full shift.
5. Perform physical activities requiring use of arms, hands, and legs, including lifting, reaching, grasping, balancing, and stooping when handling warehouse materials for extended periods.
6. Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills to work well with teammates.
8. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
9. Careful attention to detail.

Abilities

1. Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high.
2. Lift and shift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
3. Exercise proper utilization of team lifting for heavier items.
4. Manual dexterity for operating equipment/machinery.
5. Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.
6. Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written communication techniques.

Hours/Compensation/Benefits

1. Hours: Monday-Friday (8-hour shift)
2. Compensation: $16.56/hr

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.56

The actual annual salary offered will depend on experience, location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
