Job summary

Hodge Company is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support floor work direction, maintain safety, and drive efficiency in our Iowa warehouse. The role focuses on guiding tasks, sharing expertise, and optimizing warehouse processes to meet production goals.

You will develop knowledge of inventory management and material handling, while mentoring teammates and collaborating across teams to keep training materials current and aligned with best practices.

Summary: As the Warehouse Specialist, you are essential to maintaining the safety, quality, and productivity of the warehouse. Your primary role is to assist in floor work direction and provide subject matter expertise within the warehouse environment.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items.

Floor Work Direction: Assist in the allocation of tasks to warehouse staff. Ensure that work is performed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures. Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production goals.

Subject Matter Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and material handling.

Mentorship: Provide system and process guidance and training to stakeholders and peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing to ensure seamless integration of warehouse processes and tools.

Collaboration and Optimization: Partner with cross functional teams to continuously assess and update training and standard operating materials to reflect best practices and industry standards.

Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by upholding safety protocols and promoting a safety-first culture among all employees.
