Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the Kansas City Service Center. You will load/unload steel modules from trucks and manage storage with overhead cranes, ensuring accurate placement and traceability of inventory.

The role requires basic math, reading instructions, and simple computer tasks. You will work the 3rd shift from midnight to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with several benefits and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Basic math and literacy skills to read instructions and use hand tools.
• Basic computer skills required for routine tasks and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

What is a Warehouse Specialist?

Warehouse Specialists load and unload material (steel) from trucks and store it in our service centers using overhead cranes. By making sure every piece of steel is accounted for and in the right place, this position ensures that our customers get the right materials at the right time. This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 3rd shift – 12:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., Monday – Friday
• Exposure to the elements
• Dirty working conditions
• Moderately stressful and constantly changing work environment
• Lots of walking and standing – up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 51lbs.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay of $20.00/hr plus $3.50/hr shift differential
• Quarterly profit sharing bonus opportunity
