Job summary

HODGE is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Waterloo, IA to help guide daily floor work, provide hands-on troubleshooting, and serve as the subject matter expert on our OPEX automation system.

You will develop in-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and material handling while mentoring teammates and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold safety standards and company values.

As a Warehouse Specialist, you are essential to maintaining safety, quality, and productivity on the floor. In this role, you will help guide daily floor work, provide hands-on troubleshooting, and serve as the subject matter expert on our OPEX automation system.

What You'll Do

• Floor Work Direction: Assist in the allocation of tasks to warehouse staff. Ensure that work is performed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures. Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production goals.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and material handling.
• Mentorship: Provide system and process guidance and training to stakeholders and peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing to ensure seamless integration of warehouse processes and tools.
• Collaboration and Optimization: Partner with cross functional teams to continuously assess and update training and standard operating materials to reflect best practices and industry standards.
• Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by upholding safety protocols and promoting a safety-first culture among all employees.

To perform this job successfully, the Warehouse Specialist must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required.

Education/Experience:
