Job summary

NSI Industries, LLC seeks a shipping and warehouse professional to manage orders, verify contents, and coordinate with carriers. You will pack/unpack, create labels, and ensure accurate invoices and documentation.

You will use warehouse systems to locate stock, resolve shipping issues, and collaborate with material handlers and managers on ordering and storage. A HS diploma and 3–5 years in shipping/receiving are expected; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma typically required.
• 3-5 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse operations.
• Ability to read and write English; read and understand shipping/receiving documentation.
• Forklift trained and certified.

• Has strong knowledge of company part numbers, products, and customers.
• Experience with all shipping procedures (Fedex, UPS, DSL, Freight, International).
• Packs/unpacks orders while maintaining department schedule.
• Uses warehouse systems and tools to locate and gather stock.

• Solves shipping issues with customers and suppliers, including rush orders.

Position Responsibilities:

• Has strong knowledge and background of company part numbers, products, and customers.
• Has in-depth experience and knowledge of all Shipping procedures (Fedex, UPS, DSL, Freight, International, etc.)
• Packs and unpacks orders while maintaining department schedule.
• Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock.
• Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information.
• Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items and rush orders.
• Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records and providing excellent customer service.
• Liaises with material handlers and managers about product ordering and storage.
• Load/Unload packages incoming from trucks
• Inspect contents to make sure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, shipping method, etc.)
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Ensure invoices are signed for satisfactory deliveries
• Knowledge of Receiving process and ability to perform Receiving when required.

Quality Position Requirements:

• Typically requires a HS diploma
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse operations.
• Knowledge in warehouse procedures
• Must be able to interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read and understand all shipping and receiving documentation including Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Bill of Materials, Sales Orders (Picking Lists) and Special Instructions.
• Forklift trained and certified.
