Job description

The Full Time Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and organization of our warehouse, storefront, and farmers market operations. This position is responsible for accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, local deliveries, and maintaining a clean and well‑organized workspace. Additionally, the role supports farmers market preparation, event logistics, and various operational tasks as needed. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a commitment to our company values. The Warehouse Specialist reports to the Operations Manager and works an average of 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend hours for events or markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse & Freezer Operations
  • Pick and pack customer and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist Operations Manager to maintain an organized and logically arranged freezer space, ensuring easy access and proper inventory rotation.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and well‑stocked.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and communicate discrepancies.
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring proper handling of products.
Local Deliveries & Errands
  • Deliver customer and wholesale orders locally, ensuring prompt and professional service.
  • Run operational errands as needed.
  • Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently according to checklist procedures.
Farmers Market & Event Support
  • Prepare for farmers markets and special events, ensuring all necessary materials, equipment, and products are packed and ready for transport.
  • Load and unload coolers, event supply tubs, and necessary materials for markets.
  • Receive returned market products and reconcile them against sales records.
  • Replenish supplies, organize event gear, and perform basic maintenance on market equipment (e.g., tents, tables, signboards).
  • Additional opportunities for hours may be available at off‑site events throughout the year (optional).
General Operations Support
  • Assist the Operations Manager in completing all scheduled tasks on time.
  • Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely and regularly.
  • Comfortable working in cold storage/freezer environments for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team objectives.
  • Willingness to adapt to varied tasks and take initiative.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, retail, or order fulfillment is a plus but not required.
