Job summary

ServiceSource is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support a multi-climate warehouse environment. You will verify materials against documents, route items to storage locations, and prepare stock for outbound shipments under QC policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining the WMS, managing storage capacity, and directing Stock Clerks during inbound windows. Physical duties involve lifting up to 55 pounds and operating hand trucks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an industrial warehouse setting, with food logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or able to pass within 30 days of employment.

  • Maintain Warehouse Management System updates for quantities.
  • Coordinate storage footprints and warehouse capacity with Shipping & Receiving.

Pay rate : $21.29 + $5.35 (Health and Wellness) per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist, under the guidance of the Assistant Contract Manager, performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan and the specific multi-climate layout of the warehouse. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, routing items to prescribed storage locations, and preparing stock for outbound shipmen in accordance with enforcing established Quality Control Policies.

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

Primary Duties
  • Oversee task completion related to the safe receipt, physical inspection, and proper multi-climate storage of incoming subsistence supplies, foodstuffs, MREs, and water.
  • Verify incoming materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies, obvious damages, or temperature-chain failures.
  • Maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and take direct responsibility for all database updates related to incoming quantities.
  • Work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Specialist to validate available storage footprints, manage staging spaces, and coordinate warehouse floor capacity.
  • Direct the day-to-day routine tasks of assigned Stock Clerks during inbound supply windows.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage plans across the dry storage, refrigeration, and freezer zones.
  • Examine stored materials routinely and report any signs of product deterioration or damage to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Operate hand trucks, power jacks, forklift, or other basic material handling equipment as required to perform warehousing duties.
  • Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory counts of stored stock as directed by line management.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an industrial warehouse setting, with food logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or able to pass within 30 days of employment.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial storage plans, inventory rotation, and cold-chain sanitation guidelines.
  • Must practice good judgment and demonstrate a high level of integrity when dealing with government property.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of solving routine problems with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support peak National Guard training cycles and weekend drill surges.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee will lift or move products and supplies, up to 55 pounds, and work in cold temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

This position operates in a warehouse environment, including dry storage rooms, refrigerated coolers (+32°F to +45°F), and a bulk freezer environment maintaining a -10°F temperature threshold. Work is required during regular weekdays and scheduled training weekends.
