Job summary

Modern Waste Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Sorter / E-Waste Technician in Sacramento, CA. This full-time, on-site role involves sorting electronics and batteries for recycling, testing, and secure data destruction.

Responsibilities include categorizing materials, processing hard drives per NIST 800-88, using hand tools safely, recording processed materials, and adhering to DTSC and OSHA procedures. Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a full shift are required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable standing and using hand tools for a full shift.
• Experience with electronics repair, warehouse, or recycling operations is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming electronics and batteries by category, condition, and material.
• Remove and process hard drives for destruction per NIST 800-88 standards.
• Operate hand tools and warehouse equipment safely.
• Keep accurate records of processed material.
