S&S Activewear is a leading North American, tech‑enabled specialty distributor of imprintable apparel, including t‑shirts, fleece, athletic wear, headwear, workwear, scrubs, and accessories. We partner with more than 100 brands such as Adidas, Columbia, and Gildan to serve apparel decorators, e‑retailers, and promotional product distributors worldwide.

Location: Olathe, KS

Position: Shipping Department Supervisor

This role supports the Shipping Department Manager and Operations Manager, and provides direct interaction with all team members involved in shipping orders. The supervisor coaches employees, establishes goals, action plans, and timelines, delegates tasks, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures. The Shipping Supervisor also manages end‑of‑day cleaning duties and conducts performance reviews.

Compensation & Schedule

Salaried with 5 % bonus eligibility (based on experience). Monday–Friday, 12 pm–8:30 pm, full‑time, exempt.

What You Will Do

• Prepare daily attendance and performance employee reports.
• Conduct team kick‑off meetings.
• Monitor the orders screen daily.
• Monitor employee breaks.
• Prepare accident investigation reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the shipping process.
• Make operational decisions to achieve shipping cut‑offs.
• Perform annual performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership to all department employees.
• Verify and enforce compliance with SOPs.
• Participate in planning and execution of special projects related to the shipping process.
• Monitor workflow and adjust practices to ensure quality and timely shipment of orders.
• Maintain professionalism and focus while working.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment.
• Attend assigned meetings.
• Complete additional responsibilities assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of warehouse experience, including prior management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead daily activities, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure accuracy.

Protective Equipment Required

Must wear proper safety equipment if required (e.g., safety‑toe shoes, bump caps, safety vest). PPE is company‑provided with a $100 stipend for safety‑toe shoes after 90 days of employment if applicable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires standing and walking for 5+ hours per day, occasional lifting and use of a stock chaser to move throughout the warehouse. Moderate hand‑eye coordination and near and far vision are required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse setting with temperatures ranging from warm to cool.
• Moderate to high noise level due to machines and equipment.
