Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Team Lead in Carson, CA. The shift is 7am-3:30pm, and the role focuses on coordinating shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining safety and training standards.

This position offers a clear path for growth within GEODIS' logistics network. The ideal candidate brings forklift operation experience, SAP familiarity, and strong MS Office skills, with 2–3 years of related work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with forklift and SAP software.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and monitor work orders to ensure on-time shipments.
• Relay information to staff and report processes/incidents to management.
• Ensure staff has necessary and up-to-date training.
• Emphasize quality over quantity when processing inbound and outbound inventory.
• Receive inventory into Company systems to expedite shipments.

What you will be doing:

• Delegates and monitors work orders to ensure on-time shipments
• Acts as a liaison between staff and management including, but not limited to, relaying information to staff and reporting processes/incidents to management
• Ensures staff has necessary and up-to-date training
• Emphasizes quality over quantity when processing any inbound and outbound inventory by utilizing quality control checks
• Receives inventory into the Company systems in a timely manner to expedite the shipment of new materials received

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of related experience and/or training
• Experience using a forklift PC literate to include experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with SAP software
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
