Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Clerk. Under supervision, you will coordinate daily shipping and receiving, verify materials against orders, and prepare documentation for shipments.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain inventory records, and support continuous improvement of warehouse processes while upholding safety standards and ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, as authorized and trained.
• Ability to accurately receive, count, weigh, identify, and document materials.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, shipping documents, and other related records.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities with competing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and inventory information.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, vendors, customers, and transportation providers.
• Working knowledge of computers and standard office software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Ability to learn and effectively use company inventory, shipping, receiving, and record-keeping systems.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material-handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, weigh, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and completeness.
• Compare incoming and outgoing shipments to purchase orders, bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other docs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation and records.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of received materials and shipments in company systems.
• Dispatch and distribute materials to designated warehouses and departments daily.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment per safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and inventory levels.
