Job summary

AAA, United States, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Lead to coordinate daily receiving activities at the Commack area facility. You will manage the receiving team, verify goods, and ensure accurate documentation and inventory control.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse receiving and supervisory experience. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with WMS are essential; position is on-site with travel and relocation support available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse receiving activities.

Position Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse receiving activities to ensure incoming shipments are processed accurately and on time.
• Assign tasks and prioritize workloads for receiving team members.
• Oversee the unloading, inspection, counting, and verification of incoming shipments.
• Verify incoming products against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other receiving documents.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or excess merchandise.
• Ensure all received products are properly documented and entered into the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure received items are properly labeled and identified.
• Coordinate with purchasing, inventory control, shipping, and other departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.
• Ensure products are moved to the correct storage locations promptly.
• Monitor receiving productivity and communicate delays or operational issues to management.
• Train and assist receiving team members with standard operating procedures and safety practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and work area.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is used safely and properly.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory investigations, and other warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse receiving or inventory experience preferred.
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of receiving procedures, inventory control, and warehouse documentation.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, vendors, and other departments.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to _____ pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
• Ability to work around loading docks, warehouse equipment, and incoming freight.
