Job summary

Muncie Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our Manufacturing team in Yorktown, IN. You will prepare merchandise for shipment, check in stock, and pull items for orders using forklift and pallet jack. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with freight carriers, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in lean distribution/assembly.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Must have legible handwriting.
• Self-motivated and works well with others.
• Flexible to changing conditions and job assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare merchandise for shipment, prepare records of goods shipped, fill out bills-of-lading and invoices.
• Pull materials from stock using forklift and/or pallet.
• Notify freight company of outbound shipments.
• Load and unload trucks using forklift/pallet jack and store properly.
• Maintain stock in an orderly and safe manner.
• Keep work area clean.
• Assist in prioritizing incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare UPS shipments.
• Assist in inventory control.
• Route incoming merchandise to proper departments.
• Observe safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
