Job summary

Vulcan Industries has provided merchandising display solutions for more than 80 years, serving a broad customer base that includes many of the world’s most recognized retailers and brand marketers. This onsite position at our Vincent, AL Warehouse supports shipping and inventory processes to ensure accurate, timely delivery of finished goods.

The Shipping Clerk will compile and maintain shipping records, arrange transportation, and generate routine reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
• At least 6 months experience as a shipping clerk, shipping through Fed-EX & UPS.
• Ability to perform basic math operations, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read methods and procedures and write reports in proper format.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including mainframe data entry, basic spreadsheet use, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments and arrange transportation for outgoing shipments according to established requirements.
• Enter inventory and shipping information into computer systems.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed to support department workflow.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
