The Warehouse Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders through order processing, picking, packaging, labeling, and shipping activities. This role manages parcel shipments through company ERP systems and carrier platforms including UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and USPS. The person in this role ensures orders are shipped by designated customer ship dates, maintains shipment accuracy, supports customer service requests, and helps prevent shipping delays and customer chargebacks.
- Process customer orders through the company ERP system and carrier shipping software, including UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and USPS.
- Review and respond to order cancellations, modifications, and shipping-related requests submitted by the Customer Service team.
- Verify order information, shipping requirements, and shipment priorities to ensure accurate processing.
- Ensure all orders are prepared and shipped according to customer-requested ship dates and service requirements.
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets and established warehouse procedures.
- Verify product quantities, item numbers, and order accuracy before shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and packing lists to customer orders as required.
- Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas for carrier pickup.
- Accurately package products to ensure safe transportation and compliance with carrier requirements.
- Select appropriate packaging materials based on product specifications and shipping methods.
- Create, verify, and apply shipping labels using approved carrier systems.
- Process daily parcel shipments and ensure all shipments depart on schedule.
- Coordinate domestic and international sample shipments in accordance with customer requirements, carrier guidelines, and company procedures.
- Partner with the Outbound Logistics team to ensure shipping documentation, packaging standards, and shipment requirements are completed accurately.
- Serve as the primary resource for the creation, maintenance, and printing of shipping, pallet, product, and specialty labels.
- Generate weekly pallet labels for distribution center shipments.
- Design, create, and maintain label templates using ZebraDesigner software.
- Operate Zebra ZT510 printers and verify label quality, accuracy, and compliance prior to use.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, tracking information, and order records.
- Complete daily shipping reconciliation to confirm order accuracy and shipment completion.
- Monitor open orders and proactively address issues that may impact scheduled ship dates.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time to prevent chargebacks and support customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of shipping and fulfillment responsibilities by working independently, exercising sound judgment, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Support departmental goals related to safety, productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery performance.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve shipping, labeling, and fulfillment processes.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two years of experience in warehouse shipping, order fulfillment, or distribution operations.
- Experience using ERP systems and shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and USPS shipping platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in order fulfillment and shipping documentation.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet daily shipping deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with ZebraDesigner software and Zebra printers preferred.
- Work is performed entirely within a warehouse environment.
- Frequent exposure to warehouse noise, moving equipment, temperature variations, and continuous workflow activity.
- Regular use of scanners, computers, pallet jacks, carts, Zebra printers, and other warehouse tools and equipment.
- Frequent interruptions and shifting priorities common to active warehouse operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily shipping deadlines.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and fine motor tasks associated with picking, packing, labeling, and shipping activities.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to move throughout the warehouse for extended periods while coordinating shipping and fulfillment activities.
