Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking an Outbound Shipping Clerk in Aberdeen, MD to verify and keep records of outgoing shipments. You will contribute with strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping to support our mission of keeping communities fed.

Responsibilities include preparing documents (work orders, bills of lading), recording shipping data, coordinating with establishments to resolve issues, and safe lifting of loads.

Qualifications

• Attendance and a High School Diploma or GED are required
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in warehouse operations and documentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders
• Record shipping data including weight, charges, space, damages and discrepancies
• Coordinate with establishments to rectify problems and ensure spec conformance
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weights

As an Outbound Shipping Clerk, you’ll become a part of this mission by helping to verify & keep records of outgoing shipments. You’ll make a difference by utilizing your strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills to get the job done.

• Earn $20/hr+ $2/hr freezer differential= $22/hr
• 6:30 AM until work is finished
• Aberdeen, MD 21001

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route products
• Recording shipping data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes
• Conferring and corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage and non-conformance to specifications
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• At least six months of warehouse experience
• Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred
• Strong planning and execution skills
• Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results
• Strong team orientation and collaboration to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with people at all levels in the organization
• Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures
